Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress, who also works as a television hostess as well as a comedian. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston placed her on ECMO, a life-saving intervention. The patient became sick, and suffered organ failure including kidneys that didn't recover. Peritoneal dialysis, and then hemolysis was her new norm. Over the course of the 80 days she was in the hospital, her life was changed forever. Angelica had completed a one-year dialysis treatment and a half year of treatment, was ready to undergo the biggest surgery of all - a kidney replacement. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica Hale was able to undergo a kidney transplant alongside her mother on the 13th September 2013. The operation was carried out at Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of becoming a celebrity from the beginning.
