Gugulethu-SofiaMbatha, also known as Gugu Mbatha Raw is an actress from Britain who has gained recognition for her performance in 'Doctor who. The British television science fiction series shown on BBC. Gugu became famous for playing Tish Jones in the BBC series. She played the role of the twin sister of a character who was named Martha Jones. The audience loved Gugu's bright energy and spontaneity. There was no turning to stop her from her successful acting future! The actress also appeared on other British television and stage productions. Her work has been critically acclaimed due to her stellar performance in "Belle," (2013), a British period drama and 'Beyond the Lights' (2014) which is a romantic drama. Gugu Mbatha-Raw played the lead role in 'Nell Gwynn', a play that was written by Jessica Swale, as a character who was an actress as well as the mistress to King Charles II of England and Scotland. Handler became an actress in order to help her. Handler started doing stand-up as a full-time comedian when she turned 21. Handler had realized that she was gifted with telling stories. Handler started her career by joining the all-female Oxygen cast, which was a part of a television show known as Girls Behaving Badly. The series was famous for its hidden camera as well as humorous jokes. It ran from 2002 until 2005. Handler began appearing in other shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was also the correspondent of The Tonight Show. The biggest break for Handler came in 2006, when she began hosting her program on E! The show was titled Chelsea Handler. The show lasted over two years. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following season in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO have aired her stand-up comic performances. The show was announced as the host of The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. In this way, she became only the second female to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
